There is a 46 minute 55 second PITB from Edmundson Pavilion at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA on May 21, 1974.

42, 46.55 minutes still a marathon, which was the bet. You know how it is, most people can't deal with a song much over 3-4 minutes. The reaction to this info will be shock followed by a "oh brother." Don't know why I didn't remember this show w/Race making the list.
Always know I can count on those here for the answer to all GD questions.

Many thanks&I'll be enjoying this show its just what I was looking for.

Not nearly "a monster", but good, very good.

Zepplin-esque wah-wah. Like in No Quarter.

I have it listed as 45 minutes

Can't check right now; maybe someone can confirm and report back in 46 minutes.

Some recordings may have applause tagged on to the end of the track, which would make it longer, but the actual duration of the music is 46:18, I reckon

Nice research---hope you didn't think it was a paying gig.

While on PITB seems like someone spliced numerous PITB's together and made a seamless 75 minutes MONSTER---anyone remember that?

YES! I do remember that. Someone spliced PITB jams from various eras together into a seamless jam and it came out pretty nice if I remember. I'll have to see if I can find the file and info about it. It was at least a year ago or so.

Most welcome, good sir. I don't recall the monster PITB - was that along the same lines as the Plunderphonics Dark Star mashup?

I don't know... Maybe you should consult the "Direwolf Bumper Book of Forum Posting Etiquette "

;)

Did I remember that right?

I was close... Not bad for my feeble old memory. The original did contain Bumper though

Doing OK, would be nice to find some work. Not much happening with my friends business as yet... Starting to learn the bus system and my way around here. All well so far!

And you?

Just to be somewhat relevant, have not done any "playing in the sand" yet...

;)

Hey Cush - not been my usual chipper healthy self recently but nothing life threatening and doing better now. Also managed to keep the tax bill down to manageable proportions this year and get paid for work I've done so it's not all bad!

Hope you manage to sort something out workwise soon, my friend. I live in constant fear of the book business going the same way as the music biz...

Scary ain't it? I think books stand a better chance of surviving though... Sorry to hear you haven't been well, but good to hear you're on the mend!

Money always a constant problem... Had a glitch with my unemployment, I should be able to fix it, but it takes time. Meanwhile, the end of this week they will owe me for 6 weeks... Will be nice when (if?) I see it...

Take care my friend!

Well, that's quite a PITB. However, it should be rated (NWS). :) e

OK, let the arrows fly.

I will admit that I really can't get behind a 45 minute Playin' anymore. My brain just can't keep up with the boys once they pass the 20-25 minute mark. The same also holds true for, say, a Miles Davis marathon exploratory field trip in the late 70's. PITB is one of my favorite tunes, no doubt, but 45 minutes? Maybe when I was 18 and trippin' balls and had the ability to stare at a burning candle for a full hour without blinking, but now in my dotage I guess I just cant hang past a half hour with any one tune. Kudos to those who can.
